LazySend by Megamobi Technology · Last updated October 29, 2026

In short: LazySend moves files directly between your own devices over your local network. We do not run accounts, we do not collect your files, messages or contacts, and we do not use advertising or analytics in the app.

1. Who we are

LazySend: Local File Transfer (“LazySend”, “the app”) is published by Megamobi Technology (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What the app does with your data

LazySend sends files, text, chat messages and call audio/video between devices that are on the same local network (for example the same Wi-Fi). This traffic goes directly from device to device and is encrypted with HTTPS. It does not pass through our servers, and we cannot see it.

  • Files and text you send or receive. They are handled only on the devices involved. Received files are saved on your device (in the Downloads/LazySend folder or the app’s folder). Text and files in a transfer are not uploaded anywhere else.
  • Chat and calls. Messages, photos, voice messages and calls are kept in memory only while the chat is open. Leaving the chat deletes them. Calls use WebRTC directly between the two devices.
  • Device name and avatar. The name and emoji you choose (or that are generated for you), together with your device model and a random device identifier, are announced on the local network so nearby devices can find you. They are visible to other devices on that network while “Receiving” is on. Turn Receiving off to hide your device.
  • Transfer history. A list of recent transfers (names, sizes, thumbnails, time) is stored on your device so you can see it in the Activity tab. You can delete entries or clear the list at any time.
  • Blocked devices and settings. Your block list, optional PIN, language and theme choices are stored on your device only.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, files, advertising identifier or browsing history. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics software.

4. Permissions the app asks for

  • Network / local network access – to find nearby devices and transfer files over your Wi-Fi.
  • Photos, videos and files – only the items you choose to send, through the system picker. The app does not scan your library.
  • Camera and microphone – only for video calls and voice messages, and only after you allow it. Audio and video are not recorded or stored by us.
  • Notifications – to show that the app is visible to nearby devices and to tell you about incoming requests.

5. Purchases

Some features may be offered as a paid upgrade. If so, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your payment card details. We may receive confirmation that a purchase was made so the features can be unlocked.

6. Our website

This website is a static site. Our web server keeps ordinary technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, and the pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties. We may disclose information only if the law requires it.

8. Security

Transfers use encrypted connections, every incoming request has to be approved by you, and you can set a PIN, decline for a few minutes or block a device. Devices on a shared network can see that your device exists while Receiving is on, so use the app on networks you trust.

9. Retention and deletion

Data lives on your devices. Uninstalling the app removes its settings and history; files you received remain in your Downloads folder until you delete them. Because we do not hold your data, there is nothing for us to delete on a server.

10. Children

LazySend is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Since we do not collect personal data through the app, we generally hold nothing about you; if you believe we do, write to [email protected] and we will respond.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
